MUTUAL AID TO PLAINFIELD

Wednesday, April 2, 2008- At 13:10 the working fire assignment was toned for a garage fire on Lovers Lane in the Plainfield Fire District. Moosup Fire Department responded with Ladder 194 and Engine Tank 294. First arriving Car 194 (Deputy Chief Yellen) reported a well involved 20' x 20' outbuilding with several exposures. Due to dry conditions and high winds several acres of brush and debris in the surrounding area was also burning. The crew from the L-194 assisted with suppression, while ET-294 shuttled water from a nearby water source on Cemetery Road. Moosup units returned at 15:00.
